Day 1 Arriva at Shaanxi

Arrival at Yan’an and meet by our English speaking tour guide. Yan'an was the capital of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and the headquarter of Chinese Communist Party from 1936 to 1948. It is the most famous revolutionary base in China. Many historical events such as the War of Resistance Against Japan and the Rectification Movement in Yan'an, as well as the General Production Movement took place here. It was the birthplace of the Chinese revolution and the establishment of New China.

First, visit Yangjialing Revolution Headquarters Site. It was one of the early headquarters of CCP in Yan'an during the period of 1938 to 1940, 1942 to 1943. Here you can see the assembly hall where the first central committee meetings were held, including the 7th national plenum. Nearby you can find some dugouts into the loess earth where Mao, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai and other senior communist leaders lived.

Then move on to Zaoyuan Revolution Headquarters Site, the site of the Former Offices CCP Secretariat from 1941 to March 1947. Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Liu Shaoqi, Zhude, Peng Dehuai, Ren Bishi and other top leaders of CCP, moved here from 1943. Once the former manor of the Shanbei warlord, it was rebuilt and expanded from 1941 and completed in 1943. Over 20 cave houses and bungalow houses were built as well as one auditorium.

Day 2 Yan'an

After breakfast, first visit Wangjiaping Revolution Headquarters Site, the last site used by the communist leaders in Yan'an. Wangjiaping literally means "The high land of Wangs'Family", a place that used to the site of Central Military Committee and the headquarter of Eighteenth Group Army between 1937 and 1947. Chairman Mao Zedong, the top Chinese leader Zude, Zhou Enlai, Peng Dehuai and etc, once also lived in Wangjiaping.

Then move on to Yan'an Revolution Museum. This museum is housed in a most prominent building in Yan'an - Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall. It offers a detailed account of the CCP's time in Yan'an and the War of Resistance Against Japan.

Continue to go up the Treasure Pagoda, Yan'an most prominent landmark where you are able to have a bird-eye view of the city of Yan'an.

After lunch, drive to Hukou Waterfall. Hukou Waterfalls is located about 140km in the southeast of Yanan and is the largest yellow waterfalls in the world.

Day 3 Exit From Shaanxi

Transfer to airport or train station for departure or free on your own and end your pleasant China trip.
