3-day Tour in Yinchuan

Day 1 Arrival at Yinchuan

Arrival at Yinchuan airport or train station, met by our local tour guide. You are transferred to our designated hotel in Yinchuan. After lunch, start your first visit to Nanguan Mosque. The Nanguan Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in North China. The mosque has a high status among the Hui people.

Then move on to Haibao Pagoda. Also known as the North Pagoda, Haibao Pagoda is located on the north outskirts of Yinchuan. Unique in style and exquisite in construction, it is a precious treasure of ancient pagodas in China. Back to your hotel in Yinchuan.

Day 2 Yinchuan

After breakfast, head to Helan Mountains for visiting the rock carvings. The Helanshan Rock Carvings are located 60km northwest of Yinchuan. The cliff carvings in Mt.Helan were done by the nomadic people in north China during Warring States period and Western Xia State. These carvings depict the life, religious activities, wars, herding, and hunting of the minority peoples at that time.

After lunch, head to the Western Xia Tombs, 40km west of Yinchuan city. These were the royal tombs of the Western Xia State about 800 years ago. Nine kings and more than 140 royal family members of Xixia State were buried here covering an area of 50 square kilometers. The tombs are in the shape of the pyramid, hence its name the Pyramid in China. Transferred back to your hotel in Yinchuan

Day 3 Leave Yinchuan

After breakfast, continue to visit Ningxia Museum (Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Museum). The new Ningxia Museum was completed in late 2006 near Yinchuan People's Square. The museum has three sections 1)The Ningxia History 2) Themed Display 3) Temporary exhibitions holding various displays including the shows of pottery, ancient coins, and various calligraphies.

After lunch, you are either transferred to Yinchuan airport or train station for your next destination.
