The Diverse Narratives of Contemporary Photography - Cali D. Kurlan's Works of at the PIP Festival

At the 2018 PIP Festival, there is another curatorial exhibition which was curated by Qiu Tianyu, Huang Guaier and Wang Runzhong, and showed nine artists' works. This time, we mainly present exhibitions works from one of those exhibited artists, Cali D. Kurlan, a young artist from New York City.

Project Title: Qiu Tianyu: The Diverse Narratives of Contemporary Photography

Project Introduction:

At the wave of post-media era and the diversified international art stage, the methods of traditional narratives have started to change, and the narratives in the artworks are also becoming variant. The evolution of new technologies massively influences the transmission and forms of narratives. This exhibition includes international artists who are from multiple countries and cultural backgrounds, and at the same time, they tell either similar or distinctive stories. Rethinking Exhibition teases out the works of these artists while analyzes their concepts and context, in order to construct an inter-dialogue in this flourishing contemporary image environment, and bridge various cultures in the conversation of "narratives".
