The best photos taken by drones in 2017

The Dronestagram social network has listed the winning photos taken by its users with a drone.

As the drones became increasingly accessible to the general public, they did so with an unbeatable hook in terms of marketing strategy: better and more artistic photos. Humanity has not disappointed and imagined the world seen from above, capturing the most incredible images from the stratosphere.

Annually, the network joins National Geographic to choose the best photos posted there during the last 365 days.

This year’s competition was hard, almost 8,000 photos from various countries. Both amateur and professional photographers were invited to compete over 3 categories: Nature, Urban, and People.

“I was blown away by the creativity of the photos,” says Jeff Heimsath, photo editor at National Geographic Traveler and one of the contest’s judges. “The contest has certainly surfaced the best drone images from around the world.”
