Bigger doesn't always mean better, as Japanese artist and photographer Tatsuya Tanaka proves with these tiny dioramas that he makes for his ongoing project “Miniature Calendar”.

Because of the fascination with all things tiny, Tatsuya Tanaka has been stretching his imagination to its limits nearly every day since 2011. Whether he is using shopping-bag to recreate a zebra-stripe or turning a pizza into the ferris wheel, Tatsuya Tanaka knows how to turn even the most unremarkable item into something truly unexpected in the miniature world.

A place where lemon slice becomes the fancy firework. A world where tiny man seated in front of Rubik's Cube and watched the monitors. From the Moon to our Earth, swimming in a guitar to parking lot, the artist has an unique style to portray daily things, which is filled with breadth of creativity, humor and personality. The images will totally take viewers on a trip through a tiny parallel universe.

Tatsuya Tanaka updates his website with new pictures, and the way he comes up with all the details and scenarios is mind blowing. In addition, for more than two thousands day, over 6 years, there is not two of pictures that are alike exactly. Not only has he not shown any sign of stopping, but he seems to be getting better and better!
