On the drive

Lin Wuwang has won the first prize in the Documentary Category in the First “Global Photography” National Photographic Art Exhibition with his work “On the drive”. It was taken on 12th of November, 2014, on his way to Daliangshan, Sichuan Province. While stuck in traffic, he captured the scene of a child peeing over the window with the help of his parent.

A long-focus lens is used to shoot tight landscapes with an actual sense of space. The somewhat humorous scene stands out from a number of cars waiting in line in the background. The focus on the subject is enhanced, while lots of information is suggested through the background. Clarity and vagueness are handled quite to the point. The child is in crisp focus while the rest of the image is blurry. It is an interesting photo that reflects the real life.
