An interview with Pier Luigi Dodi

Q:Dear Pier Luigi Dodi, would you please give us a brief self-introduction?

A: I was born in 1969 between the flatland and the hills of Emilia region in Northern Italy. I have a PhD in Veterinary Science from University of Turin and a Master's Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna. I'm married with Alessandra and we have a fantastic child called Liang. I have started taking photos since I was a teenager with a very old manual Praktica. I really love photography. I think it is the best way to remember things that will never be the same as they were in that exact moment. My hobbies and interests are: travelling, anthropology, photography, American literature and Jazz music.

Q: When did you take to mobile phone photography? What interests you most during the creative process?

A: I was travelling in Doha with my family last year. I saw this nice building!

Q: Your work has been awarded third prize in the 7th phone photography contest. Can you share your creative ideas with us?

A: Wait for and the photo will come!

Q: What kinds of photographic subjects attract you most? Why do you like these subjects?

A: I love Asian countries and I travel a lot there

Q: In your opinion, what are the highlights of the mobile photography contests held by Global Photography?

A: When you’re walking and you see something special in front of you get the mobile and share that picture with the world!
